Why? I'm only stating what many here must be thinking- that we have some truly smart people in or around this community and it would be glorious to be able to look forward to crisp insights from them on a regular basis.

Maybe you should offer to do something like the old Maskens/Kramek KitBox in Foxtalk, except that you and somebody else attack a niche topic like "the SQL Server E.P." as you convert a sloppy piece of SP into a finely honed weapon, documenting the principles you've used? Walter springs immediately to mind as your counterpart for such a column.
