I thought back then this to be part miffed primadonna, part sour grapes and part drama queen.

Perhaps after most developers had Hackfox, Kilofox and 5 or 6 others they were not that eager to buy more.
Couple that with some newer books having less material and high hopes might be miffed -
sometimes really surprising. Megafox for instance is in quite a few areas IMHO one of the best books in their lineup,
but from what I heard did not sell well that well.

Add to that in linux man pages are no1 and another publisher has the place
Hentzenwerke occupies for vfp already taken - it was probably stopped after veni, vidi.

Non-politicians are also allowed to change their minds <g>.
