>The real issue here is only the fact that we in North America have a free press so the people of the world get to read about our system and methods. And so I ask this question. Would you rather be interrogated by the USA or Saudi Arabia?

And do we think that we read about each and every method used in interrogation? How do we really know what methods they might be using that are kept secret, or do you believe that there are no secrets.

The secondary issue here is that if the U.S. sanctions the use of torture for it's own ends, then they lose the right to complain about other nations using torture for their own ends.

Obviously the major issue is the treatment of a human being by another human being. How one commits torture on another person is beyond my ken.
