Kevin,
>And just as a follow-up....I'm not trying to call out Whil, or bash him, or anything like that. I have nothing against the man, and was a big fan of his in the 1990's. But I am asking a question, perhaps a Socratic-method type question, of how much the EULA incident factored into the sequence of events.
As there is nobody (not even Whil himself) able answer such a question *demonstrably* correct, I personally view this as an attempt to make others see your "take on things" - more Cato the Elder instead of Socrates<g>. Which evokes (speaking strictly for myself here) mixed feelings:
You stand by your opinion and friends - good for you.
You don't know when to give a rest / stop inserting a theme clearly marked "ex cathedra" as "not wanted here".
Always accepting status quo is not right, but Catonic tactic might sour the theme even for people *not* against JVP.
Weak attempt at thread drift: "I'm not trying to call out Whil"
I don't get the mechanics of that idea. One of the most instant times I witnessed a barroom fight start was when somebody put his artifical denture in the full beer with the owner of the beer having the glass in hand. But messages on the screen ?
