The general consensus is that anyone voting simply due to race is cancelling the otherside out. In other words, those voting strictly for Obama due to his race cancel the votes of those voting for Hillary because of race and vice versa.

>>Now it's time to step back and look honestly at the media and the campaign Mike. All of the major news services have admitted and pointed out that the media as a whole has given Obama a free ride. In comparison, Hilary was given a much harder time by the media. That has even been on most news broadcasts recently admitting it. Everyone is wondering if the media will finally get tough on Obama now that the race is so close. I listened to CBS, ABC and CNN all asking the same question last week. (Keep in mind I am anything BUT a Hillary fan)

>>Tracy, the other day I questioned Obama's lack of experience, and that his speeches have seemed incredibly empty lately...and I was called a racist and someone who couldn't accept a non-whit as President.
>>
>>I absolutely agree, the media has been softer on Obama, partly because they don't want to see Hillary win - but I think they'll be much harder on Obama during the race (assuming Obama gets the ticket)

>I must have missed that entire discussion about racism. (Got it -- not on the UT, right?) I don't agree with whoever said that. If people don't care for Obama as a presidential candidate, there are valid reasons for them to feel that way -- less experienced, too far left for the voter's taste, etc. Maybe I'm just not seeing it but I don't think he has encountered a lot of resistance because of the color of his skin. At least we have come that far.

>I mention only in passing that Obama is older and has more legislative experience than JFK had when he was elected.
