I not only think that Islam is about a century or two behind Christianity in its worldview, I also think the whole idea of having a religion is unnecessary. We should be able to find the reasons to be good people in ourselves, without external aid/enforcement.
But you took the wrong part of my answer as main. You asked of how many of terrorist acts in the last 20 years were islamic, and by the sample I found it looks like 50-60%... probably because most of the stuff happening elsewhere never gets into the news.
The main question was: if terrorism is so bad, why help it in some places while fighting it in other places? It doesn't make any sense.
