Not necessarily true. You are assuming that everything would evolve in the best possible manner possible and you would be successful in that alternate reality.
Still, you didn't have to come here at all. As you stated, you could have picked another country. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either we stop taking resources from other countries (and you go home) or we don't. What's good for the goose is good for the gander (and all that) :o) Or do you propose we just give up the resources that you think we should and you become the one making the choices?
