Did you really enjoy Madame Tussaud's? I thought it was a complete snore, not worth more than 5 or 10 minutes of time. Once you've seen one you've seen them all....

Actually, I loved Madame Tussaud's. But, that's just me < s >.

I doubt this is John's "cup of tea" but I really enjoyed the Tate Gallery and went there many times. Also the British Museum, which happened to be literally out the back door of the hotel where I stayed one summer.

I enjoyed the architecture of the building more than the content at the Tate < s >. And, speaking of architecture, one place I forgot to mention was the Science museaum and the Museaum of Natural History in London. Those are also 2 places not to be missed.

The great thing about central London is most of the famous tourist attractions are clustered together within walking distance (or maybe a short tube ride).

I think getting on one of the "hop on hop off" red tour busses is the ticket here.

Can't even imagine how expensive it is now with the exchange rate, though. Ouch.

Yep - as of today, it is $2.02 US to the pound. Thank goodness Andy and I left funds in stirling in England when we moved back here. It doesn't matter that the pound was only worth $1.45 US when we earned it. It is still worth a pound today < g >.
