Hows the weather down there today.
>>To the UT's UK residents, a favour please.

>>Can you tell me a few decent counties, shires, or suburbs which are about an hour outside of London (by train) and which have good primary and high schools (grammer schools?). I have lived in Hertfordshire and have friends in Buckinghamshire but would like to see what else is around. We are exploring a move to the UK and need to get some guidance on where to start looking for schools and houses.

>As you may know, I live in East Sussex, a county directly south of London and 1 hr on the train, direct motorway to the metropolis, next to the sea, 10 mins drive into stunning countryside, good schools, etc. I don't know of anywhere in UK I'd prefer to live. Prices are pretty high because of this, but nowhere near E and N London (eg Dulwich - where Maggie Thatcher settled).

>Grammar (spelling note) Schools are few and far between - they were the subject of an 11 years exam - but good "comprehensive (high) schools. My daughter's specialises in IT (all their homework is using MS tools).
