Is that database attached to your SQL Srever?
Did you have other instances?
On my computer I have a default instance (for developer edition) and SQLEXPRESS one (when I installed VS 2008).
Default location for DBs is \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server (version here)\MSSQL.(instance number)\DATA
