It sounds like you might have a shaky Project file. Have you tried a Clean Up on the Project? Also, you might try copying the Network version of the Project (.PJX, .PJT files) to your local Dev area and see if that one blows up when you build.

Also, since the Project is just a table, you could USE ProjectName.Pjx EXCL, then PACK.
