I have a TextBox where I have put my basic functionality into. Then I have Date, Phone & SSN boxes which are inherited from the TextBox. I have ! in the Format property of the Parent TextBox, and then I have the format properties filled in on my Date, Phone & SSN boxes. I addes the ! format to the Parent TextBox after I had already made the Date, PHone & SSN boxes work. But now they don't work and all I get is the ! format which makes everything caps. It seems to be overiding the format properties of the 3 child textboxes. I thought that the children would override the format property of the Parent. Can someone tell me how VFP 5.0 handles this situation?
