Here is the latest from BO:
If one installs a VFP application on Citrix, BO says
each company that will access the application must buy a full version of Crystal Reports 2008. They don't have to install it as they will be using the Crystal 9 runtimes supplied as part of the application.
Has anyone been given a different answer?
This makes Crystal Reports an expensive option.

>3. is thick client. The application will run on each workstation and has things that need to be installed locally.

For thick clients, free runtime (report viewing and printing APIs). A per user runtime fee is required for the integration of end user report creation capabilities using the RDC RCAPIs.

>>So next I looked up what a "thick client" is in Wikipedia:
>>
>>
>>A fat client (also known as a thick client or rich client) is a client that performs the bulk of any data processing operations itself, and does not necessarily rely on the server. The fat client is most common in the form of a personal computer, as the personal computers or laptops can operate independently.

>>1. A normal VFP application running on a PC is a fat client.
>>2. A VFP application installed on a Citrix server - probably a thin client?
>>3. Finally, what about a VFP application installed on a client's PC network, and accessed from PCs on his network. Would you say thick client?
