Hi Steve --

Here it is........

The information in this article applies to:
Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5, 2.5a, 2.5b, 2.6, 2.6a

SYMPTOMS
FoxPro for Windows may cause a "Divide by Zero / Overflow" error when attempting to start on computers with 333 mhz (or faster) processors.

RESOLUTION
NOTE: The third-party contact information included in this article is provided to help you find the technical support you need. This contact information is subject to change without notice. Microsoft in no way guarantees the accuracy of this third-party contact information.

A third party workaround has been developed and that you may use to launch FoxPro for Windows. The name of the application is Slowstart.exe. You can download the file from the following URL:

>One of our employees just got a new 400MHz Pentium II and installed OSR2 on it. Now none of our old Fox 2.6 apps will work on it. As soon as you run the program you get the old fashion system-modal dialog saying "An error has occured in your application, blah, blah" Close or Ignore. When you click "Close", you get the new age GPF (win95 style) dialog and the details say the app cause a gpf in FOXW2600.ESL. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure if it has anything to do with his new computer in and of itself or if Win95 is mis-configured or if files are missing...
