Now that Sergey has solved my problem of sending a long SQLEXEC command to the ODBC driver I still cannot update the CheckExpenseLine table. I can do most everything but insert CheckExpenseLine transactions.

I have tried about every combination of field etc. If someone has sql code that works I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mind sharing it. I know the ID field etc will change but at least I can find the combination of fields needed. Surprising there is very little in Google or UT about VFP and Quickbooks and this table. I can add invoices, add vendors and customer but can't get QB to accept a check, which is what I really need.
