What happens if you modify the field properties in the label to only print so many characters (e.g. instead of 'myfield' something like LEFT(myfield,100))?

>I need some help on how to handle a printing error. I have an app that prints labels. I have an error handler that writes any error strings for the app to a file. Every so often a lable is put in where the detail lable to to large to be printed which causes an error string to be writen. The app goes into a loop and creates a giant log file. The error is 1298. How can I handle this so an endless loop does not occur. Here is the line of code where the error occurs and the loop exists:
