I could imagine, confusion, panic (did someone attack us??), mass calling TV technicians to fix 'broken TV's, people changing dozens of battery sets to get that RC finally working, some even throwing TV out trough the windows and so for...

But then I could also imagine people having real life again, outing more, talking, going to watch/listen live music again. It could be like neo 30ies, with real jazz played at every corner...

Who knows, world could just become much better place :)
