For the record, I think UT is an excellent site. If you closed chatter, I would not care. Alternatively if you imposed a ration of (say) 5 chat posts daily, that would allow individuals to touch base for a joke or to share stories or to report what one of our leaders is saying about us, but not to create elephantine complaint-fests. ;-) Of course you can't please all the people all the time and from my POV I remain hopeful of a JVP-esque resurrection for one recent departee ;-) but I won't raise it again unless I have something new to report.
