Yes, I agree, it takes time to do those changes. In our case, we have a very big project where the code is entirely universal to fit either a VFP backend or a SQL Server backend. There are no IF condition in there to fit both environments. Everything is done at the framework level. Our biggest challenge was those reserved words in SQL Server. So, the data class is now smart enough to parse the SQL commands to adjust accordingly as per the backend for such situation. But, this is not something that we were able to do in one day. I have been on it since a few weeks. Now, we are on the testing phase.
