You may have encountered a device driver problem, or a VFP9 bug.
The most common driver problems are display drivers and printer drivers. Are you using a new video adapter or printer? Make sure that these drivers are up-to-date, and the correct ones for your exact hardware. Using WHQL-certified drivers written by Microsoft is the best bet for reliability.
If that doesn't help, can you show us the code where the bug occurs?
