Some senior senators were forgiven views in the past but to my knowledge, anyone currently demonstrating an acceptance of bigotry or anti-racial views is immediately denounced today. The candidate's campaign would immediately be over.


Not just a campaign. Their career would be over immediately. But this does only apply to whites though (apparently).
