A vendor who wants to install an app at a mutual client says he needs SQL Server 2K5 to run his app, while our app is running on version 2K.

We use the SQL server DB's thru SQL pass thru from VFP 8.

A few questions:

- Are there any reasons I can't run the 2K app on 2K5? What should I be looking out for?

--For a variety of reasons, I don't want to upgrade my dev machine here to 2K5 yet. Will I have any problem supporting them if they upgrade and I don't?

- What might that other vendor be doing that would render his app unusable on 2K? (just curious)
