It all depends on how you put the statement. In the case of Paul it didn't sound insulting, in your case - it clearly did. I'm reading books, links, etc. in the meantime. I guess I did waste a lot of time helping here in VFP forum instead of concentrating on learning when I did have time. Now I'm trying to learn and work at the same time and it's not an easy process.
BTW, to achieve my current VFP level (where most of things I can do quite easily) I also started by asking lots of beginner questions here. That's one of my ways of learning.
The problem with .NET that it's huge and takes longer learning curve.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
