Why should a utility created in 2001 be used when Cursor Adaptor is the latest tool being used, It is useful for any type of database, has a builder that saves time, handles date fields, handles null dates making it blank...
It does manage connection but suggests 1 connection per user and auto reconnecting if connection is down, the same can be achieved using a simple connection manager.
