See, I know you hadn't gone away - it was just a check and raise <bg>

I do understand why the whole way this was done has really riled people, and I'm in sympathy with that. I also think John Ryan my have been on to something when he guessed that there may be legal issues coming from a completely different direction that has Michel lawyering up.

I just think it is all very unfortunate that there is so much drama (unnecessary to my mind) within a community of people who should revel in having so much common interest.

(the reference to JVP on Foxrox on Wiki is a case in point. Granted it is SB's site, and that drama evidently goes on ... I just don't get it, but then I never did. I've just never felt drawn to getting into those kinds of ego clashes with folks. )

But I like your sticking up for your friends and I know that your head is screwed on straight about this stuff.

You play the cards your dealt, not the ones you wish you'd got, neh?

>And yes this is his business and he can 86 someone with no explanation. But IMO it seems like a jellyfish approach to me.

>So here's one for the crew: When JVP was banned... JVP and the whole UT knew why JVP was banned. It wasn't a real mystery. No-one can figure KG's situation out. Unless KG is lying to a lot of his friends this seems entirely unjustiufied.

>FWIW. I do agree with one point of yours. Michel did KevinG a BIG FAVOR kicking him off. I couldn't believe the amount of posts he made.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
