I don't think there are enough delegates left (not counting super-delegates which is a whole separate can of worms) that even if Hillary won them all (which is unlikely) she could get the nomination.

>>Stated why McCain will win? I don't recall doing that. IIRC I have been predicting Obama will win for most of a year now, and still think he will. This is just a little mud-slinging by a desperate candidate who is on the ropes.
>>
>>Yes, McCain draws lots of moderates and even some Democrats, but Obama does the same in the opposite direction.
>
>Not anymore. Now that he has been caught lying to the press, he cannot win. One poll taken this week shows him down 8 points and Hillary up 6 points. McCain is the ultimate winner of this faux paux

>>>Why be silent on an important issue? You are my barometer for the election and you have stated why John McCain will win. Obama's lie will cause a lot of people to be turned off, as will his 20+ year association with an anti American racist, and they will turn to McCain in droves. I've heard many Democrats say, "McCain ain't so bad", which I have decided is an accurate statement. For me, it has come down to having a "lesser of evils" for president - again. <s>

>>>>Maybe so. I should just shut up about the election. My views are certainly well known by now. What it comes down to is, yeah, I am a little giddy about Obama. Like a lot of people, I have become pretty cynical about American politicians and the general direction of this country. Reasonable people can disagree about the proper remedy and the proper person to facilitate it, of course. Personally I find Obama not only charismatic and inspiring but able to work constructively with those who have different views. He doesn't go around with a sword in his hand seeing whose head he can chop off. IMO we need someone like that. We really have to get past the atmosphere of political warfare that has been bogging us down.

>>>>(In fairness, I see the same potential in McCain. But not Hillary. With the Clintons it's all warfare, all the time).

>>>>Now let's see if I can stick to my vow of silence <g>. Probably not....
