I've only recently become hooked on DVR (I was a VCR freak since 1976). I can't say enough good things about the Philips DVDR3575H/37. 160gb HD (very hard to find DVRs with HDs these days) USB port, plays AVIs, great burner. Exciting technology.

>I was pretty happy when I bought my HDMI cables for my HDTV :o) Now, after the latest news, the happiest I'll be is probably when I splurge for blu-ray (which won't be anytime soon).

>>Compare that to the feeling when you first held a FPW box in your hands. Dunno... in a way these purchases seem to be almost a drag now when it used to be more of a pleasure like a new Video player.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
