>Watching the incredible amount of tax $$ thrown away by Kansas Social and Rehabilitative Services (my current major client) on strictly low or non-taxpayers, the majority of whom are not disabled (I'm all for helping disabled or working for the benifit of ALL) makes me want to puke. And this is just Kansas. Head for a truly socialist state like California and the amount of tax $$ going from the taxpayer to dirtbags will be more than the GNP of a lot of third world countries.

Sure, people who suck on the system - too often clearly making false representations - are a serious problem. But don't go thinking that they are alone. For example, many well-known brand names in health-related businesses (insurances, homes (elderly and rehab) and supplies) have been convicted (in the U.S.) of cheating the system systematically for millions of $$$, and typically found to have the cheating integrated right into their computer systems!

You can see the individual "dirtbags" but the business dirtbags are seldom identified and never remembered.

I truly think that you do have to allow that when money is involved some people are inclined to cheat. If a person is going to falsify application information and swear to those falsehoods "the state" can't really hold all of the blame. A cheater will say/do what it takes to get what he wants and detecting that can't be easy at all.

But my main point remains that the affluent reap more benefit overall from taxation spending than does average Joe.
