>John, well I'm privileged to work on some fairly new stuff. I love it. All I need now is something to buy for a boy-buzz. ;-)

Yeah. I still learn new stuff, with some measure of enjoyment, but it's more to keep myself marketable (hopefully) than the sheer joy of discovery like when I was starting out. For sure if I were starting a software company I would hire mostly young developers, with a Yoda type to supervise them.
I don't really agree with John K. about becoming ossified and afraid of change as we get older, although there's certainly some truth to it. I just need something new to get excited about.
Whoops, there I go again wanting more instead of being content with what I have. Not a good idea!
