We're running SBT Pro Series 5.0 on an NT server. We've run into a few strange thing's that I'm in question of. SBT does not have a project and each file is compiled separately. Question 1 : why is Visual Foxpro unable to execute a Form without the SCX/SCT file. If a form is compiled into an SPX and called from within another FORM/PROGRAM fox won't be able to execute it at runtime outside of Visual Foxpro, and it crashes. This causes a problem regarding network file security as you must give people access to all of the SBT Form's. Question 2: I'm not sure if this is related to the issue involving the fact that SBT has no project, or NT. But NT is leaving file's open on the server as people go in and out of SBT all day. By mid day NT report's nearly 1000 file's are open when actually there are none, most of these file's are VCX's and VCT's which also are unable to be compiled and called without an EXE file. Upon program termination the following command's are issued. Close all, Clear all, Release all.
