In our application we often have users connecting to a server over a VPN, at times the VPN times out and/or disconnects.

We use Remote Views to talk to the server and have kept these views open for the entire length of a users sessions. When they get disconnected, it doesn't seem as if we have a graceful way of recovering.

We are in the process of a complete re-write in C# so we are really only looking for a temporary fix, but, does anyone have a recommendation for a graceful way to recover from a disconnection with "open" remote views?
