Iraq PM Al Malaki and Iraq Pres Talabani (of the gubmint that we are propping up) gave Ahmadinejad a rock star welcome a few days ago. His trip was announced well in advance, he took a car from the airport to baghdad, stayed a few days, got the red carpet treatment. Our guys make unannounced day-long visits into the greenzone. Iran and Iraq have announced several construction & energy deals. Iran HAS filled the power vacuum that we created for them. That cluster has left the station.
