MS will do something but it can't be discontinuing sales of XP. Buzzing about future products will keep people from doing desperate things but in the end they have to fix Vista. We bought a Vista machine (dual core) and the person requested that it be changed to XP because of performance. Way back MS used to say to their developers that there is no substitute for speed, but they have forgotten.
