Hello friends,

I need to add a code to my application that checks if VFP ole db driver is installed. Here is the method that I am thinking about:
lOleDbInstalled = .T.
try
  loConn = CREATEOBJECT('ADODB.Connection')
catch
  *-- OleDbDriver is not installed.
  lOleDbInstalled = .F.
endtry
I think the above method should work. But it will require creating a "wasted" object every time. Can someone suggest a simpler method. Btw, I don't care (at this point) of the version number of Ole DB, just to know if it has been installed or not.

Thank you in advance for any help.
