>Since you like to document/discuss the oddities of the English language - and there are two or three of them <g> - I'll mention something I saw in a shoe store today. The price on a pair of boots was marked in big numbers as $14.98. In smaller numbers below that it said "Our price $49.99". Huh? They are selling a $15 pair of boots for 3.3 times its price? No, of course not, I figured. Well, they were $14.98 on sale and what they meant was "$14.98 - Regular price $49.99", but who was the ditz that came up with that wording?

While I love my collection to grow, just like any other collector,

>Now, on another subject, what key combination would wipe out my reply as I'm typing it? I had finished that paragraph above and leaned over to check something and somehow I must have hit some key combo and when I looked back, all my reply was gone. It had returned to a state like it was immediately after I hit the reply button. Only the original posting text was visible and my reply was gone. Just a bit frustrating!

Ctrl+z, I assume. That's undo in most of the software, but then there should be the redo too - usually ctrl+y (except in software which had it before Windows came along, like Fox/VFP, where it's ctl+r).
