We try to understand why performance in our application has big diffrence in the diffrent operation system.
Exist a network with FileServer where FoxPro database located
First computer OS Windows Vista
Second OS Windows 2003 Server
Both machine has 1Gbt network connection to FileServer.
The test results for both machines has realy big diffrence

1) SQL Select which return 50 000 records
Vista Machne - 16 second,
Windows 2003 server 5 second

2) Copy 700Mb files with COPY TO command
Vista Machine - 49 second
Windos 2003 server - 20 seconds.

The realy, all peoples want to work on terminal server :))) where performance of application in 3 times better.. but its not realy good solution when 30 clients work with terminal server.

Maybe there exist solution.. or.. I want just to understand.. why in the same network configuration, same application, has realy diffrent performance.
