Unless Hillary practically sweeps the votes in the remaining half dozen or so primaries, I don't see how she can do it anyway. Obama is ahead by something like 170 delegates and 700,000 votes. No amount of word sorcery from the Clintons is going to spin those numbers away. Not that they have stopped trying. The latest I saw is claiming an "electoral college" lead by adding up the electoral votes of the states Hillary has won vs. the ones Obama has won. If there's anyone dumb enough to fall for that one, I want their phone numbers because there is some costume jewelry I want to discuss with them. Primaries are held separately for each party, the general election is between the parties. Duh. The Democrats could win California and New York with Charlie Parker at the top of the ticket. (He's dead, if that was too obscure). And the day Texas goes Democratic again will be the day hell freezes over. There is a grain of truth to the argument in that Hillary won Ohio and is leading the polls in Pennsylvania, two key battleground states. But it's a moot point if she can't overcome the delegate deficit.

>Reading that made me feel old, REALLY old :o) Well written and very apropos. Also, I think Hillary just tanked her candidacy and Obama is guaranteed the Democrat ticket.
