This I already try before.. and
Thisform.cboContactSearch.RowSourceType = 0
Thisform.cboContactSearch.RowSource = ""
also..
the same bahaviour.. and whats interesting... before.. it seems to work..
Maybe exist some SET directives? I don't know what to think.. because the same problem has customers now.. (otherwise I coud reboot machine :))
