>He has a right to say what happens with his articles. If he doesn't want the new magazine owners to capitalize on his articles, and instead wants them to be freely distributed, why shouldn't he say so?

And why doesn't he offer them for free distribution elsewhere, and just ask that Rainer posts the location? Something like "Sorry- for subscribers only! However, this issue also contains free articles available at http:/...". Why didn't he? I think he said he doesn't have them.

But then he mentions that Rainer doesn't have the contracts. Fine, I'm sure JVP does, and he can help the issue by offering a copy. Or does he still have them? He should, because he's using them to substantiate the lawsuit threat, if I got that part right.

This seems like a fine way to sabotage Rainer's effort - bog him down in a nonsensical battle over articles that were published years ago, about a language which isn't even in .net (makes me wonder why does he bother at all) and have us write another hundred of useless messages.

If there was a #directive to punish the Fox community for not collectively jumping into the dot-net boat, this would be a fitting a part of the strategy to do exactly that.
