>Alright I have reaped from the knowledge pool that is offered here for awhile and now I ask once more...I am working on a program for the marine corp marathon in which we will have three laptops on the course with ip modems with static ips connected back to a server back at the start line ...so the question is can foxpro take the information from three different sites and plug it straight into the database which will then be thrown online? I know this seems a bit much but we are in a brainstorming meeting now and are looking for different approaches
Sean,
First of all would you need extra speed ? You could simply connect them with NT RAS and become online. There the line speed would be important. But you might not need to work online at all too (ie: never need write/update to same record and never add the same thing at different sites only shared read). It would be best of course. Table updates would then easily be logged and done at the end of the day.
