I can see her anger. It could be worse; Gene could have been compared to LBJ - now that would have really been an insult! Did you know that there was a rift between Gene's family and Patricia Kelly? When Robert Trachtenburg (spelling?) made Gene's biography, he made a statement to that effect. He also stated that his last wife 'was not relevant' to the film and didn't want to participate in it. He also said that Betsy and Gene's kids would not discuss her. The director for Singin in the Rain refused to be interviewed too. He actually used the excuse 'if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.' (I think those were his exact words but I may be remembering wrong - it was very similar at least. (I'm a Gene Kelly fan) :o)
