You can use the SDK from Quickbooks, but I have found that QOCBC ODBC drive (a commercial product) is very easy to setup and use. It is great for getting and sending data to Quickbooks. You can google OODBC for the company that sells the driver.
I assume you are moving the data out of inventory based on some field reports indicating the number of bulbs planted. Then based on either a lifo, fifo or average cost basis move the inventory costs to the next Work in Process stage. The QODBC drive would be very good at downloading the inventory cost data from QB and then manipulating it and sending a Journal Entry back up to QB to move the costs out of Inventory to the next stage.
As I understand it the QODBC driver is a wrapper around the QB SDK that makes it quite easy to use.

>I am just starting to design a simple inventory database for a small nursery "no bar codes all user input" I need a simple way to move the inventory from Bulbs to veg growth to flowering and finally to floor and or sales etc..... in other words minus out of 1 database and add to another.............
