I don't think DVD players is what I need in this case. The files that I am trying to build are SQL Server database files so they can't be played in a DVD player. I think (not sure though) that the Roxio Retrieve is something that got embedded into the files on the DVD. But I also have Roxio Dell edition installed on my notebook. So maybe these two applications, Roxio Retrieve and Roxio Dell edition, are interfering with each other. If I can't get around this issue, I will have to find a PC that has no Roxio installed but can read DVDs and try it there.
Thank you for your suggestion.
>Interesting problem.
>I suppose you could copy the DVD images to your hard drive...then mount 2 virtual DVD players with something like dameon tools (

>>Hi everybody,
>>
>>I am having a problem retrieving a couple of files from a set of 2 DVDs. The person who sent me the DVDs had to split the files using Roxio (because the files - large database - would not fit on one DVD.).
>>
>>Now when I put in the 1st DVD, Roxio Retrieve automatically opens. It allows me to select the files (2 files) and select to Retrieve. After a while of copies these file to the target folder the Roxio Retrieve pops a message to insert disk 2. Which is logical but I cannot eject the 1st DVD. Every time I try it, I get a message something like "that DLA has some files or programs running/open and everything has to be closed.". So I have to cancel. It seems like DLA, which I thought is part of Roxio is not letting me use the Roxio Retriever.
>>
>>Any suggestions? Maybe how to disable DLA temporarily?
>>
>>Thank you in advance.
