>Are these inhouse apps or do they get used by people who buy/lease your services and or products?
These are all in house applications.
>Lets ask a few Qs to start off. How long did it take you to get away from input forms that were "fill the screen with as many text labels and text boxes as fit" style of design? mainframe/DOS/Win 3.x/WinXP look and feel progression.
Did my question offend you on some level you seem to be tring to insult me here?
I don’t think my applications have a Mainframe or DOS look and feel. They are on Win XP so I’d have to say that they do have a win XP look and feel. They do tend to be intuitive to use, I do manage to pull this off without any spinning labels or logos or ants running across the screen.
The applications I’m talking about are generally datacentric in nature. Customer info, accounting, or auditing. Gathering and maintaining assorted information.
My shop wont buy a decent icon library much less hire a graphics designer. I don’t think they are going to be impress or happy with me spending a lot of extra time on a lot of wiz bang animation.
