I did a similar app for a wine distributr here. He has four sales reps with laptops and cell phones. They run a remote Invoicing program written in VFP 5.0a , they connect to the Head Office using RAS and download a zip file(using DYNAZip) with DBF's in it. On the Head Office a VFP program polls for any zip files, If it exists it extracts it and updates the Server database. After updating the server database delete the zip files.

I Use Mabry Controls for RAS & FTP and Dynazip for zipping.
