That's funny! The son (her friend) got a job where she works and quit the first night when he realized it was hard work. He actually used a phrase along the lines of "I'm not somebody's you know what." I substituted the 'you know what.' She learned the hard way (like we all do) that sometimes you don't respect your friends. She said he was lazy at school as well. I had to explain all the places her taxes go that really are worthwhile (like roads, and schools, and medicare for her grandma). Her response was that she doesn't mind paying for medical coverage for senior citizens who worked their entire lives or food and clothing for those who are mentally or physically unable to work but she wasn't giving her hard earned money to (the boy who was lazy). After that she wanted to know how much I had paid in taxes over my lifetime :o)

>>My daughter was 100% democrat (after the highschool brainwashing that begins back in middle school). Then she started paying taxes and wanted to know WHERE EXACTLY the money SHE EARNED was going... :o) She doesn't want the money she earns to pay for the 'bums' she knows who won't work. She knows a lot of 'bums' who want everything for free (at her age). She has a friend whose parents drive an Escalade and are on food stamps.

>It's been said a Republican is just a Democrat who has been mugged.

>>>I'm at a loss as to why anyone would want to model after Europe. We are the United States of America. Y'all can keep your one world government, we are doing just fine. You may get your wish though the way the liberals have taken over almost all the media. The brainwashing has begun.

>>>>If the US was like other countries like for example the UK or other democratic countries, you would not have presidents or prime ministers that earn that status through inheritance. We want to have the best intellectual candidate, not the one who has the biggest wallet, mouth or power otherwise. I this respect the US is living in the 18 and 19th century of the current western world.

>>>>If you're aiming at monarchies like in The Netherlands and the UK (and any western monarchy I know of), they don't really have any power in the government. Their status is merely cerimonial.
