After Vista took so long, Microsoft said Windows 7 wouldn't take that long and has been saying it will RTM in 2010. Last year Microsoft announced the new micro kernel. Last week Bill G said to look for Windows 7 next year.

>This sounds like some ranting speculation at best... I can't imagine Microsoft being able to accomplish a from the ground up rewrite of Windows in 5 years let alone in 1-2 years speculated for Windows 7 to be released.
