What make you think you're out of the dictatorship right now :) ? And for your information the last dictator is far less than 50 years ago (romania, I forgot the name). The removal of each dictator is causing conflicts like this (Tito in the case of former yugoslavia).

I don't see how the US would stop us from killing eachother again and again, that is a task for ourselves. The intervention in former yugoslavia is a different matter altogether and its operations were under the flag of NATO, not under the US.
