Since the rich have the resources, and almost everyone aspires to be so, why would they not run things. Should people who have no resources, no accomplishments, etc. be in charge? I doubt there is any country that isn't run by the rich. In the communist countries, the rich rule, they simply didn't earn their wealth, they took it from the workers.
