I'm having some performance issues with my application using a shared, file-based database and tried this registry change:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
SharingViolationRetries REG_DWORD 0
SharingViolationDelay REG_DWORD 0
But didn't notice any speed changes. So I kept looking and found this hotfix here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825433/Titled: Poor performance when you append data to a shared file-based database from a Windows XP-based client
Just curious if anyone has seen this or tested it?
